An internationally recognised certification process

To ensure on qualitative and environmental practice across our 15 subsidiaries, Lyreco uses the recognised international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

Health & Safety management is based on Lyreco’s guidelines referring to the ISO 45001 standard and local legislation.

In 2012, ISO 26000, the guideline for Corporate Social Responsibility, was adopted to provide structure to the sustainability journey. In addition, some countries have also chosen to obtain further certifications.

ISO 20400 is a new ISO standard - Sustainable Procurement, offering organisations guidance on developing a sustainable procurement strategy. It aims to describe the basic principles of sustainable procurement and provide an effective model for implementation. It does not contain requirements for suppliers but describes how buyers can define sustainability criteria and incorporate them into the purchasing process.

An extended Risk Management process

Lyreco Risk Management process covers quality and environmental aspects. In 2019, in the framework of the new CSR strategy 2019-2024, Lyreco has extended it  to new areas:

  • Corruption risks
  • Social risks in our internal activities
  • Cyber-criminality

Sustainability management is fully integrated in the organization of the Group Operations, led by a Group Chief Operating Officer. The strategic execution of the Corporate Responsibility policy is led by a Group QSS director. each of Lyreco 15 subsidiaries includes a QSS director.

Fostering ethics in all our practices

Raising awareness and ensuring strict adherence to ethical business practices in all Lyreco activities, by all employees and with all our business partners is an ongoing concern.

In 2020, Lyreco has therefore strengthened its ethics and compliance management and communication process, through an extended Ethics and Compliance Committee, the nomination of a Group Compliance officer and dedicated Ethics Referents in all Lyreco subsidiaries, a reinforced Code of Ethics and Business conduct and the improvement of the “Raise your alert” system.
