Job Purpose
As an Application Support Specialist in BI team you will be the link between the users of reporting solutions and the BI developers. You’ll analyse questions coming from users related to reporting tools, provide support regarding reports’ functionalities, you’ll recognize issues, change requests and suggest improvements.
You will closely work with BI developers, Product Owners and reports’ users from various departments and locations.
You will test all tools before their implementation.
Main responsibilities:
Give advice and support users in their requests related to reporting solutions
Analyse and set priority on all user requests
Check if the solution matches the request
Escalate (when needed) incidents to the other IT departments and make sure that incidents are properly managed.
Test new reporting applications and accuracy of bug corrections
Proactively suggest changes in order to improve the system/process
Manage communication with users
Qualifications and skills:
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Fluency in written and spoken English
Knowledge of Power BI or Qlikview is a plus
Team player, able to work effectively with various reports end users, but also to work independently (if needed), to contribute to the overall team success
Autonomy and good organizational skills
Curiosity and good learning ability is essential
Ability to lead root cause investigations and analysis
