The group finance operations team is hiring a consolidation expert reporting to the Finance Operation Director

MISSIONS

  • Prepare, maintain and produce the reconciliation of consolidated ledger accounts and group financial statements (balance sheet, profit-and-loss statements, capital expenditure schedules, intercompany schedules)
  • Expert in IFRS compliance
  • Perform Financial analytical reviews
  • Lead group accounting projects in collaboration with chief accountant, IT experts and other group functions.
  • Ensure lean, optimized and standardized accounting processes across the group
  • Support and train chief accountants community.

TASK & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Compliance and risk

  • Ensure compliance of consolidated financial statements with IFRS and French GAAP (CRC)
  • Validation of local financial statements consistency
  • Together with the finance operation team, develop and maintain a documentation system of procedures & manuals in line with the group financial strategy, IFRS and other compliance law ensuring the right level of internal control and the efficiency in the finance operations departments across the group

 Expertise and audits

  • Produce the yearly consolidation statements in IFRS and French GAAP (CRC) including 4 different scopes / Over 50 entities & over 2,3 billion turnover.
  • Be an expert on SAP & BFC accounting and consolidation systems as well as intercompany transactions.
  • Audit the subsidiaries with two objectives:
  • Ensure accuracy of the local books
  • Ensure group procedures are properly applied across the group.
  • Produce ad hoc financial analysis and provide expertise on specific topics for the top management or the group financial operations & other partners
  • Prepare materials & train key users on accounting and tools
  • Participate or lead finance projects (example: IFRS16 study and implementation, Purchase-to-Pay, etc) in collaboration with other departments

Performance optimization

  • Analyze & challenge monthly consolidated P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement
  • Collect, select and share best practices across our accounting community, ensure consistency, standardisation and continuous optimisation.

Business partner

  • Support the accounting community, identify areas of improvement, analyze root causes of business issues, recommend corrective actions, ensure the follow up.
  • Act as a business partner by collaborating with Marketing, IT experts, supply chain, etc in translating the business process into a compliant accounting flow and making sure the tools are adapted

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Hard skills & experience

  • Proven 5 years’ experience in technical accounting & consolidation within an international group
  • Expert in IFRS
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and turn it into compliant accounting flow.
  • Good command of English & French is a must
  • SAP experience is a plus, BFC experience is a must have.

Education

Finance master’s degree or business school
