From paper to plastic items such as pens and office stationery, most workplace supply have a short lifespan, are disposable and natural resource consuming.

Promoting to all our customers worldwide always more sustainable products and solutions is one of Lyreco major commitments for many years.

Our key contributions

From 2023, we introduce the Lyreco sustainable selection, a new methodology to identify the sustainable products and services. This selection methodology will be assessed and certified by SGS, and based on 3 criteria: Planet by Lyreco, People at Work by Lyreco and Community by Lyreco.

In 2020, Lyreco has pledged to convert its offer to the Circular Economy by 2025. This major step towards a zero-waste alternative ambitions to cover all product categories, providing recycle-ready alternatives, extended collection and recycling solutions for used-items.

To promote and foster recycling of paper, plastic cups an bottles, Electronic devices, used-products collectors and reverse logistics solutions are regularly extended to new product categories.

Reducing CO2 emission across the entire value chain, from our suppliers to our customers, is a priority goal in our efforts to mitigate Lyreco environmental impact and contribute to our customers' own objectives in this area.

SDG 13 - CLIMATE ACTION
Our key contributions

In 2020, new Science-based CO2 reduction targets in line with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change will be set to extend the scope of measurement and reduction to Scope 3 (indirect emissions) for Lyreco own brand products.

Lyreco subsidiaries develop low-emission solutions with a focus on urban delivery, sales cars and delivery trucks fleet and route optimization.

Sustainability represents 25% of the evaluation criteria, at equal level with Competitiveness, Category Management and Logistics.

To encourage our customers to group their orders and reduce the number of deliveries, Lyreco proposes an incentive/disincentive principle applying discount to grouped orders or additional fees in case of small orders.

The ultimate goal of our commitment to convert our offer and business to Circular Economy by 2025 is to significantly reduce our carbon print.

Through this endorsement, Lyreco commits to joining the efforts of stakeholders already engaged in tangible actions to halve deforestation by 2020 and to end it by 2030.
