Since we have received quite a few enquiries about customised masks or bulk orders of masks, let us share the following important details for purchasing and stockpiling masks...

Dos

DO'S

Make sure there is sufficient stock

Employers are responsible for ensuring a well-equipped workplace to protect employees’ wellbeing. Employers should also provide sufficient protective gears so that employees can resume works without worries.

Design the masks according to its structure

Wearing masks with company logo is certainly good for publicity and enhancing corporate image, but with the limitations of the materials, structure and form, it may not be ideal for showcasing some fancy design, therefore, it is suggested to ask about the limitations of the materials and structure from the supplier prior to designing the masks and put its practical use be-fore design.

Develop a clear distribution system

Employers can distribute the masks to staff from different levels regularly according to the headcount and work resumption status of different departments. A clear distribution system facilitates the follow-up works of the administrative and merchandising department, as well as the budget of expenses and storage arrangement.

Don'ts

DON'TS

Avoid excessive purchase

All types of masks have its own shelf life, long period or improper storage will affect the filtration performance, therefore, careful estimation on the practical use of masks can avoid waste from excessive stockpiling.

Avoid distribution mismatch

Employees from different positions may need to use different types of masks, do estimate the mask usage in accordance to the needs of different employees. For example, staff who work outdoors for a long time will re-quire individually-packed masks for regular change, while staff who work at crowded places may need to use ASTM Level 3 masks for stronger protection.

Avoid high temperature and humidity

High temperature and humidity are the biggest enemies of masks! Masks shall be stored at cool and dry places because improper storage of masks may cause unpleasant odor and can lead to skin irritation.
