Position: Area Sales Manager

Location: Leicester and surrounding areas

Salary: £36,000 - £44,000 per annum + commission, company car, laptop, mobile phone

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm

We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join our Field Sales Team.  We have a position covering Leicester and the surrounding area.  As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the people management of a Field Sales team across a defined geographical area. The role requires the Area Sales Manager to be responsible for the effective motivation, development and organisation of the sales team, to achieve sales, margin and new business targets across all field sales territories. 

As an Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and reviewing team performance
  • Support and development of team to reach their full potential
  • Ensuring delivery of team and individual sales targets
  • Recruit and ensure retention of team
  • Effective plan and deliver training in monthly sales meetings, to ensure team have right tools to undertake their role
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders of the business.

The ideal Area Sales Manager candidate will:

  • Be an experienced manager with previous background of managing a remote field sales team
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, where resilience and strong leadership skills are required.
  • Be able to motivate a team and be driven to exceed targets
  • Full understanding of business development process, from prospect through to account retention and growth, with a proven track record of this.
  • Full understanding of business finances experienced in handling profit and loss calculations.
  • Proficient IT skills across Microsoft Office, knowledge or ability to use the internal SFM system.
  • Management qualifications would be desirable.
  • Full driving licence with no more than 7 penalty points
