As Category Purchasing Manager, you will be one of a team of managers taking responsibility for the buying and commercial development of one or more product categories managing a range of products and suppliers to achieve our corporate goals.  You will be reporting to the Marketing Director.

 Main Accountabilities 

  • Responsibility for one or more key product categories for Lyreco which involves selecting the right products at the right costs from the right suppliers. 
  • Analysing all the results of your category.
  • Regular meetings and negotiations with suppliers, analysing supplier performances, service level and maintaining a good relationships.
  • Working out the tariffs and price setting in order to reach turnover& margin goals whist  taking into account  competition analysis
  • Follow up and understanding of trends in the market and competitor behaviour
  • Cooperation with Replenishment department to ensure high service levels
  • Creation of a printed and online  catalogue for group and  local product selections, with a strategy by product type
  • Ensure the right products are promoted with support from suppliers at the right timing to achieve sale volume and margin targets.
  • Optimal spending and maximising of the suppliers back end programs
  • Maintaining contacts with Lyreco sales staff, giving presentations to sales and CS, attending sales training days, and the yearly sales convention

 Qualifications and Skills 

  • Commercial Degree
  • At least 5 years working experience in related position
  • Good command in English & communication skills
  • Enthusiastic / dynamic / well organised / work well under pressure
  • PC literate: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • SAP Knowledge is a plus
