Job Description

In order to provide our customers with the best solutions and experience, Lyreco has to become a more Customer centric & Data driven company. Therefore, Lyreco is looking for a Data Steward, working in the Customer Data & Governance department and acting, through data governance, as:

  • Referent in terms of Data governance policy
  • Up-keeper of the data quality managing continuous improvement plan with various stakeholders

To contribute towards the overall mission, your key responsibilities include:

Implementation of Data governance policy

  • Participating in the definition of the general data governance policy (standards and process for updating business data models, security) and ensuring that data perimeters are compliant with this policy
  • Contributing to and participating in data governance committees
  • Liaising and sharing with decisions makers and data owners at Group and Subsidiaries level on data governance rules and best practices

Coordination and administration of the company data by capturing and documenting

  • Tools, documentation such as dictionaries to control data and meta data (Customer, Prospect, Contact, Product, etc.)
  • Mapping (data lineage) of the processes, flows and life cycles
  • Ensure that all deliverables are visible, transparent to the core team and all major contributors and stakeholders to enable effective day-to-day data control

Data quality continuous improvement plan, in collaboration with data owners and users

  • Identifying data users' expectations and supporting data owners to arbitrate and prioritize the needs in line with the company strategy
  • Defining improvement plans, KPIs and targets
  • Piloting effectively improvement plans by setting up visible and transparent follow up reports
  • Share best practices across data owners, users communities

To deliver on this mission, of course you will need a collaborative and creative mind-set, nevertheless we are also looking for a truly unique character with a pioneering, entrepreneurial and results orientated approach.

Other essential requirements:

  • Degree in Science (Bac+5)
  • Previous experience in Data governance, analysis & modelisation ideally in a distribution and B2B environment
  • Customer Centric & Data driven culture: familiar with an environment using customers journeys and mixing data owners, analyst, scientist, engineers, devops, web analyst …
  • Good understanding of SAP, master data, big data and data warehourses principles
  • Absolutely familiar with data lineage, data modeling, Mapping, dictionaries
  • Knowledge of tooling allowing data lineage, anlaysis and visualization (such as DQ Analyzer, PowerBI etc) and basics in coding (VBA, sql, python)
  • Organization is key: you will be dealing with multiple priorities, so having a structured yet agile approach – with good knowledge of the scrum agile methodology - will be essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluent written and spoken English
