THE CONTEXT 

At Lyreco, Sustainability has been a very high focus for years. 
With our new Global Strategy, (GREAT26), we increased even more the ambition for Lyreco to become a sustainable company. Planet, People and Progress will be key focus to keep delivering to our customers “A GREAT WORKING DAY”. 
Among other big commitments, we want to reach 90% of sales made by sustainable products and services in 2026 & to tend to carbon neutrality in 2026 (Neutrality on scope 1 and 2 + push our suppliers to have reduction targets on scope 3)
 

YOUR MISSION

As Head of Sustainability, you’ll have to ensure that sustainability is integrated in the agenda of all departments and countries of Lyreco.  
Your main responsibility will be to spread Lyreco Sustainability strategy (Great Impact) to Lyreco people and ensure actions are taken. 
You’ll report to the Strategy Director, member of the Executive committee of the company.  

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

1.     Create high quality content for appropriate channels to ensure the Sustainability strategy (Great Impact) is known internally.  

2.     Ensure each country and group department have a local strategy and roadmap to contribute to the global sustainability strategy.

3.     Create a strong community with all Sustainability leaders of the company to ensure proximity, share best practices and create synergies. 

4.     Communicate the Sustainability strategy (Great Impact) externally to prospects, customers & suppliers. Organize or take part in events to explain how Lyreco intends to link sustainability and progress in the coming years. 

5.     Manage a team of sustainability coordinators, helping you to coordinate the large programs (CO2 reduction, Circular Economy development, non-financial reporting, and communication)

·       You have a talent to simplify complex topics

·       You can pitch and convince different populations (customers, employees, shareholders).

·       Your sustainability background helps you to be recognized by sustainability experts. 

·       You are highly collaborative.

·       You are an experienced manager, able to provide clarity and autonomy to the team.

·       You are curious. For you, traveling and meeting people is an opportunity, not a constraint.  

·       You are very organized and justify of a significant experience in piloting large sustainability projects. 

·       You have a very high and positive energy and like to deliver value every day. 

·       You are resilient and take your energy in achieving big things, no matter how difficult is the journey. 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Our headquarters are divided in 3 locations (Marly- France, Gdansk- Poland and Amsterdam-Netherlands). You’ll choose to be based in one of these 3 locations, and you’ll have the possibility to work remotely up to 2 days a week. You’ll have the opportunity to travel to many different countries (where we have Lyreco subsidiaries) to work with local sustainability teams.
