Reporting to the Group Marketplace Director and working with Group and local Marketplace Business Developers in the subsidiaries, you will map, select, negotiate and onboard international sellers that offer ranges of sustainable products and services meeting the standards that we have defined and that deliver high service level.
This role of Group Marketplace Business Developer is a critical position that will support Lyreco to expand dramatically its offer without supporting the stock. This would be an ideal opportunity for anyone highly motivated to create and develop the best curated ecosystem of partners to help our customers transition to sustainable marketplaces.

Sustainable by Lyreco, Lyreco’s marketplace

Lyreco is a worldwide and omnichannel distributor of workplace products, with its corporate headquarters in Valenciennes, North of France. Privately owned, the company was founded in 1926 by the Gaspard family. Lyreco is covering 25 countries with direct presence along with a further 17 countries supported by 15 Strategic Partners.

Lyreco is a strong leader in the B2B market and its customers portfolio varies from small & medium businesses to very large enterprises and public sector.

Our mission is to become pioneer in delivering sustainably what any workplace needs, so its people can focus on what matters most.

And one very important pillar of Lyreco’s GREAT26 strategy is to develop and operate the first B2B sustainable platform (called Sustainable by Lyreco). Already live in Italy, we are going to expand across Europe with new countries launched every year.

Therefore, we are now looking for a Group Marketplace Business Developer.

MISSION

Reporting to the Group Marketplace Director and working with Group and local Marketplace Business Developers in the subsidiaries, you will map, select, negotiate and onboard international sellers that offer ranges of sustainable products and services meeting the standards that we have defined and that deliver high service level.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Prospect the European market to identify, prioritize a pipeline of business opportunities: benchmark the sellers’ offers and analyze the relevance of their catalog according to our needs and high sustainable standards
  • Negotiate and on-board high-potential Sellers with international scale onto Sustainable by Lyreco marketplace
  • Support and train sellers to create and push their catalog online, advise them on how to optimize their success on Sustainable by Lyreco
  • Participate to the creation of the Sellers Value Proposition and strategy
  • Identify, quantify, and define feature enhancements to improve our service offerings based on sellers’ feedback, data analysis, and feature gaps with competitors
  • Act as the Group business partner for all local Business Developers in your set of categories

Professional qualification

  • From Graduates (Preferably master’s degree in business Admin or Marketing) up to 3-5 years of experiences in marketplaces, sales or in product marketing

Professional skills & abilities

  • Good sales and negotiation skills
  • Has strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in an international matrix environment
  • Willingness to travel, mobility is very important
  • Strong appetite for digital solutions & ecommerce
  • Speaks English fluently
  • Computer literate - solid mastery of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
