Job Description

Do you have a passion for working with Suppliers to manage contract set-up, implementation, and delivering actions to reach the best supplier performance?

Perhaps you are a budding individual looking to take their first steps into a Purchasing and Planning role?

We are hiring for an Extended Range Planner just like you!

The role of the Planner is:

·         Placing Purchase Orders via SAP-created Purchase Requisitions

·         Creating a weekly Report for Workwear Outstanding Orders (system driven)

·         Communicating any pricing discrepancies to Product & Services department

·         Communicating directly with suppliers on any excess stockholdings

·         Close liaison with Customer Services to ensure correct contact and delivery details for Direct Delivery Orders

·         Placing Purchase orders and following up on orders, to ensure goods are delivered on time. Expediting supplier deliveries to avoid backorder

·         Manage Supplier delays in collaboration with Goods-In department,

·         Analyse the root causes of backorder and turn results into a continuous improvement action plan

·         Deal with supplier issues and plan supplier returns when necessary

·         The accurate maintenance of relevant parts of Supplier and Product database (e.g. operational contacts, lead times, "outer" case quantities, pallet quantities).

·         Accurate maintenance of purchase order file (e.g. loading new information, clearing old out of date information).

·         To observe Company Policies, Procedures and Standards and to always promote quality and the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Some experience of stock management (desirable)
  • Clear and effective communication with both internal and external departments.
  • Willingness to co-operate closely with other departments.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to adapt to various situations
  • Excellent communication skills and team player
  • PC literate Word / PowerPoint / Outlook
  • SAP Experience highly (desirable)
  • Intermediate Excel skills (desirable)
