On March 12th, 2024, Lyreco marked a memorable occasion as industry leaders gathered in Amsterdam for the prestigious 23rd annual European Office Products Awards. Lyreco was honoured with two notable acknowledgements at the ceremony. The first was the Sustainability Excellence - Reseller Award and Highly Commended mention in the Reseller of the Year category.

Lyreco announces that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTis) has validated Lyreco’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Reduction (version 4.2); the SBTI’s Target Validation Team has classified Lyreco’s scope 1 and 2 target ambition and has determined that it is in line with a 1.5° C trajectory.

Ecovadis, one of the world's top business sustainability rating providers, has evaluated Lyreco's sustainability management practices in 2023, and we are proud to announce that we achieved a Gold Medal with a score of 72 out of 100, placing us in the category of an “Advanced” level of management. This accomplishment reflects our dedication to handling the most relevant issues in our industry (goods wholesaling), according to the materiality assessment (determination of significant economic, environmental, and social topics that substantially influence an organization's stakeholders' assessments and decisions regarding sustainability performance).

We are thrilled to give you all an update on Lyreco’s sustainability ambitions in our report for the year 2022. This report showcases many examples of how Lyreco is implementing its sustainability strategy globally in all the countries it operates in. 

By 2026, Lyreco aims to have 90% of their global turnover to be represented by their Sustainable Selection of products, have 90% of employees proud to work for Lyreco, and continue to collaborate with their partners to achieve sustainable progress. Lyreco’s mission is to be pioneers in delivering sustainably what every workplace needs, so that its people can focus on what matters most. 

Lyreco launched the first version of Sustainable Selection by Lyreco at the end of 2022, which is a new progressive assessment methodology, clearer and closer to its long-term sustainability strategy aiming at strengthening their current procurement process with more sustainable initiatives, actions, and decisions. It follows the ISO 20400:2017.
