Health, Safety and Wellness Advisor (P/T)

Telford

Salary : £28,000 per annum pro rata

Hours of Work – Monday to Friday

At Lyreco we have a real commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing and over the past year, the involvement within the organisation has really grown.  Due to this we are now looking to expand the need within the team and are looking for a part time Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to work under the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner.

As a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor your responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for the management and processing of day-to-day admin activities relating to Health, Safety and Wellbeing.
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and communicated.
  • Responsible for ensuring Lyreco WISE meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
  • Responsible for the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
  • Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained.
  • Establish and maintain a full programme of documented health & safety inspections, audits and checks.
  • To create content and manage a rolling 12-month communications calendar for Health, Safety and Wellness.
  • To support with the completion of ISO internal integrated audits (45001, 14001, 9001 & 22301).
  • To ensure all relevant Health and Safety actions identified within external audits are completed within a timely manner.
  • To carry out relevant COSHH assessments when required.

The ideal Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor will:

  • IOSH Managing Safely Trained
  • COSHH trained preferable, but not essential
  • Can demonstrate a good understanding of the application of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and other legislation relevant to the Companies business.
  • Has experience of Handling of H&S investigations.
  • Experience of creating, implementing, and revising Health, Safety and Wellbeing procedures and documents.
  • Internal auditor training (advantageous)
