Responsibility and sustainability
Our clients aim to benefiting from a working environment that brings a tangible positive contribution to People and the Planet.
Achieving excellence also means ensuring that all the steps we take to delight our customers are carried out in the most sustainable way possible:
providing sustainable office products,
ensuring ethics and compliance in all the countries where our suppliers operate,
developing environmentally-friendly processes from ordering to delivery to product end-of-life
Trust and clarity are essential to meet our customers' environmental expectations and requirements for the highest quality.
The Lyreco group uses the recognised international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 across its 15 subsidiaries in 25 countries for its Integrated Management System.
In 2012, ISO 26000, the SGS guideline for Corporate Social Responsibility was adopted.
Sustainable and ethical sourcing
We require our suppliers and Lyreco products' manufacturers to fully respect Environmental, Labour and Human Rights. Sustainability and ethics in the Supply Chain are therefore key principles of Lyreco CSR strategy.
To ensure that our responsibility and sustainability standards are constantly met, the group QSS team audits yearly and directly on-site our Lyreco products manufacturing partners.
These assessments and audits use these framework:
- SMETA (SEDEX Members Ethical Trade Audit) 4 pillars: Labour, Health & Safety, Environment and Business Ethics.
- Lyreco Vigilance plan and Purchasing policy
Green labels and certifications
Purchasing environmentally-friendly products requires clear information and easy identification.
Lyreco Green Tree label helps our customers to shop for green alternatives for their office supplies.
Recognised labels such as Ecolabel, FSC, PEFC are also specified for each product in the Lyreco catalogue and e-shop.
