Are you a People Manager, passionate about training and developing others?

We are seeking a Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) Manager to lead and manage our Regional Distribution Centre in Luton.

You will be responsible for the budget and management of the RDC. You will need to demonstrate your capabilities in Recruitment, Training, Managing and Motivating a large team of drivers. You will be Tenacious, Professional, Fair and Resilient and you will have a strong personality; social skills are a must. You will possess good analytical skills and a background in Continuous Improvement / Change Management would be advantageous. But experience in Logistics is not essential.

Your duties will include:

  • The general day to day running of the RDC
  • Leading and developing a team of drivers
  • Management of local dedicated courier contracts
  • Partnering with local Sales teams and customers as well as colleagues based in Head Office
  • Managing the local budget and ensuring the most efficient management of all local resources
  • Maintaining and reporting local key performance indicators, individually and team orientated
  • Periodic travel to our other Regional Distribution Centres nationally
