Corporate Social responsibility program 2020
On November 14th 2020, Lyreco Thailand and group traveled to Nakhon Nayok to attend company’s CSR activities, which were divided into morning session and afternoon session.
Helping children at the Chaiyapruek Foundation
In the morning session, as Lyreco believes that children are the foundation of the country, we went to help the children at the Chaiyapruek Foundation by providing opportunities through donations. The donations include educational equipment and other basic needs. Furthermore, we also made lunch and shared meal with the children in order to to encourage children to have good mindset, learn how to give and love to the less fortunate.
Build firebreak at Nakhon Nayok fire control station
To continue with afternoon session, we went to forest fire control station at Nakhon Nayok. Wildfires occur naturally every year, and some of them may be caused by the preparation for the next planting season. Somehow, if we don’t prevent the spread of wildfire, it will burn millions of rai of land. In fact, staffs from Nakhon Nayok Forest Fire Control Station are not able to look after an area that covers more than 301,562 rai, thus this causes air pollution or PM2.5 at every first trilogy of the year. Because of this incident, Lyreco is aware of the impending impact, we therefore went to build firebreak in order to stop the spread of fire and protect wildlife habitat from destruction.
