Job Description

Role Responsibility

  • Study your market trend, customer needs and undertake product level analysis of your categories (and those of competition).
  • Define category strategies alongside Marketing Head in line with company’s Go-to-Market Strategies.
  • Implement a high-performing strategic procurement that delivers best value to the company objectives.
  • Keep track of and analyse performance (sales, margin, evolution, promotions…) of your categories.
  • Fulfil the enquiries from customers including products and services which are outside the company’s annual catalogue.
  • Negotiate the buying conditions with suppliers (Cost price, payment terms, stock returns, etc.) and collaboration terms with strategic vendors (customer marketing programs, promotions, etc.).
  • Research product categories & determine catalogue selection producing a category action plan for your catalogue sections based on customer trends or needs.
  • Produce catalogue lay-out with the Marketing Communications team.
  • Work out the tariffs and price setting in order to reach turnover and margin goals, taking competitor analysis into account.
  • Develop customer marketing plans and follow-through promotional programmes (field, corporate, telesales or Web Shop promotions) to achieve corporate and category targets. 

The Ideal Candidate

  • University degree, preferably in Marketing, Economics or Business Administration.
  • Fluent in English & Mandarin being desirable
  • A solid commercial background (preferably from FMCG, Retail) is an asset.
  • Good negotiating skills & attention to detail. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Team-player with Creativity, Passion for grow
  • Right candidate with lesser experience may be considered as Product Manager.
